Another item to tick off of my todo list for the business, is designing our standard business email signature - which each new employee will be able to customise during their on-boarding. Courtesy of the folks over at mail-signatures.com, this was completely pain free! Although I am an experienced web developer, I didn't even need to know any HTML or CSS, or other language one might expect to use in a signature.
Some people might ask, if you're able to do it, why not just create your own from scratch?! The twofold answer is quite simple - time is money. Why create something that already exists? Unless you can do it much better or add a USP, I'm starting to see the logic in utilising what is already available instead of trying to do everything myself - a trait of mine that has been my downfall in the past. Secondly, mail-signatures.com is free (or, at least, I was able to do what I wanted within their free offering); even more incentive to not make a signature template from scratch!
